It was an exciting game that took place in the Balewadi Stadium as Pune City faced off against Athletic Kolkata (ATK) in the recent Indian Super League (ISL). The game ended in a 2 -2 draw which was quite a disappointment for ATK as this decreases their chances to make a playoff spot.
John Johnson scored an own goal to mark the first score to give Pune the lead in the 17th minute. Jayesh Rane then scored for ATK in the 23rd minute to equalize the score.
ATK subsequently took the lead with a penalty shot by Edu Garcia in the 61rst minute. This was however followed by Robin Singh who scored against his old club in the 75th minute to equalize the score and ensure a point for the hosts.
ATK is currently at 6th place now with 21 points after playing 15 matches. Meanwhile Pune is 7th with 15 points with 15 points.
