After comfortably winning the series in Australia, India has continued their amazing run in New Zealand as well. In the 3rd ODI in the 5 match series India was able to once again clinch victory quite easily by 7 wickets to seal the series with a 3-0 victory. There are two more matches that have to be played.
In the match that took place in the Bay Oval stadium at Mount Maunganui, the hosts has won the toss and elected to bat posting a total of 244. This was the highest by the hosts in the series so far and was largely due to the efforts of Ross Taylor and Tom Latham who posted a 119 run partnership.
India quite easily reached the target with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma scoring fifties for their 16th 100 run partnership. After their dismissal Dinesh Karthik and Ambati Rayudu stepped up to reach the total with 42 balls to spare.
