In the second T20 International match of the series India were able to overcome their earlier dismal performance to come back strong and win by 7 wickets. The series is now tied 1-1.
New Zealand opted to bat first after winning the toss but was contained quite well with a decent bowling performance led by Krunal Pandya. He took 3 wickets for 28 runs.
The top scorers for New Zealand were Colin de Grandhomme with 50 off 28 balls and Ross Taylor scoring 42 off 36. Together they posted a fifth wicket partnership of 50 runs. Daryl Mitchell was given a wrong decision for out for lbw which was contested but still given by the TV umpire despite clear screen evidence.
The Indian batsmen performed really well led by openers skipper Rohit Sharma who scored 50 of 29 and Shikar Dhawan who scored 30. Rishabh Pant helped close the innings guiding the side to victory in a tricky situation.
