Twitter may soon be adding a feature that enables the editing of tweets. The original version of the tweet, however, would still be view-able to the users.
CEO Jack Dorsey first talked about the possibility of this feature back in December 2016.
He said in a statement on Saturday, “Maybe we introduce a 5-30 seconds delay in the sending of tweet and within that window, you can edit because the issue with going longer than that is it takes that real-time nature of the conversational flow out of it.”
Dorsey said that Twitter currently lacks this feature because it was built on the SMS format of text messaging where you can’t take a text back once it has been sent.
